A request to identify the location tracking device can be received at the location tracking device, and a response identifying the location tracking device can be transmitted prior to receiving the silence command.

    Using a GPS on Baskets, we could track the movement of company assets and determine when a tool changed operational status. GPS led to a better logistics planning, reduction of the transit time, increase in tool availability, and additional revenue per year, improving then the ROA (Return on Asset).

  • Managing Health Reform: State-Level Field Network Study of the Implementation of the Affordable Care Act

    My teammates and I studied various aspects of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in Texas during its first open enrollment period from October 2013 to March 2014. Specifically, I focused on the role that marketplace navigators played in consumer outreach, education, and enrollment assistance. Our research included serving as certified application counselors, a role in which we assisted consumers in learning about the Act, completing an application, and selecting an insurance plan.
