📖🎵 The secret is out! I’m overjoyed to share that my work has been published in the brand new Bärenreiter-Verlag Urtext edition of Dvořák’s Rusalka! This is truly a dream come true. A huge THANK YOU to Eva Velická and Jonáš Hájek of the Bärenreiter Praha team for the opportunity to include notes on Czech diction, something that I hope will empower singers around the world to perform this beautiful language with confidence. 🇨🇿 And of course, I must thank and congratulate Martin Vodrážka, who taught me everything I know about singing in Czech, and who recorded excellent audio files of the text to accompany the score. On Saturday, August 12 at 7:00pm, Opera Arlington presents a vibrant evening of music featuring selections from Donizetti’s beloved comedy, The Elixir of Love (L'elisir d'amore)! Admission is free. Visiting soprano Bailey Sutton is joined by tenor Jason Nichols and pianist Jiaqi Chen for a colorful “love potion” of opera and art song. In addition to world-famous arias and duets from The Elixir of Love, the program features classic jewels of the soprano repertoire for an evening of music that is sure to touch the heart.
