President & CEO Eric Tucker accepted the award on behalf of AMA YMCA volunteers and staff. The annual event hosted by Board Member Diana Rochin, Executive Director of El Club del Exito (The Success Club), celebrates the accolades and community service work of various local Hispanic leaders and nonprofit organizations.

As a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), Teri will serve as a senior team member, providing strategic leadership in philanthropy to advance the YMCA’s mission. Originally from Waco, and a graduate of Baylor University, Teri has lived in Fort Worth for over 30 years. Welcome to the AMA YMCA team, Teri!

3 out of 5 Americans are affected by Chronic Diseases, like heart disease, cancer, stroke, or diabetes. Chronic Disease Prevention Programs at the YMCA offer physical and emotional support. Thanks to many donors, these programs are provided to participants for free or at a low cost, which allows us to help bridge the gap between doctor care and regular life. LIVESTRONG® AT THE YMCA is a small-group program that assists those living with, through, or beyond cancer to strengthen their spirit, mind, and body. “As a three-time cancer patient, the 12-week program offered an amazingly diverse, hands-on experience. It provided a chance to get stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally. Our Trainer especially took heart with this small group of survivors. She allowed us to tailor our experience individually, which helped us establish life-long wellness habits." - Cancer Survivor and program participant A one-time gift of $50 to $100
